    Re: engine cover?

I haven't used the screws on my engine covers for months. I took them out when I had them painted and now I can't find them.

It stays in place just fine without them though.

The dealership can get them for you and I doubt they can be too expensive.

    Re: engine cover?

$2 each at my dealer (Miramar Audi).
Probably the cheapest thing at that Stealership.
The whole engine cover is $95. I almost bought a new one because it was missing the ring emblem.. but I found the emblem while putting in a K&N air filter. Now to JB weld it back on.

    Re: engine cover?

^^ I bought 2 days ago the cheapest thing at the stearleship: a 40 cents screw for the front headlight.

But cover at $90?? Amazing how much they make $$ from parts.

took my engine cover off the day i bought the car. i know it blocks heat for the coilpacks but i prefer the look without it.

Does anyone know the best way to re-attach the rings to the engine cover? Some kind of epoxy?

I would use a spray adhesive, if you could find a hi heat version would be my thought.
