I have a 1997 audi a4 2.8 Q and am looking to buy suspension for it. I am finally over the wheel gap and have the money to fix it. Not only that my stock non sport shocks are stock with 120 k on them. Yucky.

My budget is around $600 for both springs and shocks. I want race springs so my shit is slammed. What can you recommend me doing besides checking for used stuff. Im either thinking i can find a good deal on a new set of shocks and then find a used pair of springs for somewhat cheap.

BTW. I asked my mechanic how much he would charge for a susp swap and he said around $75 per corner and they charge $90 an hour. How good is that?

ECS has a setup to make some bilstiens height adjustable with H&R or Hotchkiss springs IIRC. Their pricing wasn't too bad.

If you're going for looks, VMaxx doesn't completely suck, their performance isn't the greatest.

Do the install yourself, or make some local Audi/VW buddies and buy them a case of beer for their effort. You'll learn something, get your drink on and meet some new people.
