ok i have not been able to find the answer i have done sooo many boost leak tests and i got the final leak sealed today. i just replaced the turbo outlet hose and the throttle body hose with silicon hoses. i am giac chipped on a 98 1.8t fwd and i spike at about 12 psi and hold at 10 psi. i was wondering if this means that i have a cracked wastegate? how would i test for a crack in the wastegate? also how much would a shop charge for fixing the wastegate or is it cheaper for me to just pick up an old ko3 and slap it on myself? i also have a baileys dv incase thats important.
