HELP. Door VIN sticker replacement

my insurance company wants a picture of the door jam sticker stating my VIN#. but it's missing. Where can I get a replacement? this is a PITA

btw, car is a VW gti 337 'o2. clean title...

Its not on you door jamb unless the car was theft recovery(atleast in mn). It should be on the top of the dash and on the firewall.

but the insurance company wants a picture of the sticker. I have the VIN on my dash. but they want the sticker, I don't know why it's not there. I don't have my car right now but when I went for the photo inspection the sticker wasnt to be found.

GTi 337. it has a clean title, been carfaxed. I have the VIN plate. I just need this damn sticket

Try looking in all doors on the door itself and on the jamb... It'll be there unless the car was painted due to an accident or some other reason...

previous owner was a detailer...might have been why it's not there. Maybe he cleaned it off =\

I can only suggest a call to your local VW dealer first thing tomorrow. Parts department should know about this, if not try service. A look at a car like yours might also help.
