Buying 08 A4 2.0T. What are typical dealer charges/taxes in CA?

Hey guys,

Looking at buying a 2008 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro. Has all packages, Navi, etc. Its price is just over $41k. I am in Orange County (Huntington, Newport area) and curious if anyone remembers or has a sheet that lays out the dealer charges, taxes, etc that they paid that way I can get a sense of what I am looking at above the sticker price. Sticker is $41,250. That includes upgraded paint, navi, convenience, s line, titanium, blue tooth, Spec Edition...

I am looking to buy in the next week too.

wow, that's alot of money for an A4...
theres probably destination charge which is around 500-600$...plus whatever the ca taxes...ull end up paying around 2500-3000 grand on top of the sticker price...
personal opinion - for the type of car it is, not worth spending almost 45 grand

Tax, title, license might be around $3500

work the financial dept down on the sticker price, you could easily walk out @ $41k total

You buying it @ Audi Newport, or Commonwealth? (or somewhere else?)hit me up after you get it, i grew up in HB and live in Newport now

price sounds about right to me, expect to pay no more that 2500~3500 more extra including the Maintanace plan and 100K warranty, you can try to haggle the price to pay sticker out the door.

is this a B8? the new ones fully loaded are also 41-42k and they have so much more to them, u can easily walk out with a B7 for 38k everything included.

Orange county tax is 7.75% and will be the tax you pay if you buy from anywhere in California. Don't be fooled. General rule of thumb in the industry is to figure, or add, about 10% of the agreed on price to the final amount.

Figure you buy the car for 41,250.00
Tax and license should be in the neighborhood of 4,100.00 (usually less)
Total out the door should be in the neighborhood of 45,300.00

I can refer you to some good people @ Commonwealth if that's where the car is located. (I was an Internet Manager there)

Add 10% to the sticker for tax and regstration.

Reaxion, can you PM me some guys from Commonwealth. I am looking at both commonwealth and newport audi. $41k is alot, granted it is fully loaded with Navi and Titanium package, etc, brand new maybe 100 miles on it, but $41k for an A4 i think is a lot.

Commonwealth has a white Titanium which i like, only thing it doesnt have is Navi and xenon headlights. Plus, its only like $34k so more realistic in my eyes...
