Clutch gone?!?!?

Hey guys I was wondering if someone can shine some light on my problem.

So the other day I was driving home and as I was switching gears from 2nd to 3rd (not that it matters much) and my clutch peddle all of a sudden just stuck to the floor (pressure was gone) and I was unable to put my car in gear. When I got home I pulled the clutch peddle up and tried to put the car in gear but it's still not letting me. I haven't got any clue of what's wrong with it, if someone can tell me what may be the problem, I would really appreciate it..

had a mazda mx3 that did that to me
the brake fluid line to the clutch went
had to shut car off at red lights put in 1st start car and floor it, and syncro shift ever other gear untill I put in a new line

Dudeeeee. I had the same problem when i had the DSM, Clutch stuck to the floor couldnt get it out of gear, Tryed some times it would let me get it from first to second but wouldnt come out. Later i got frustrated said fuck it took it to the shop, Blown Pressure plate. Id get it checked.

If you're in warranty, you can get Audi roadside assistance to tow it, free, I believe. I had an 04 Avant lose an ignition coil causing the car to stutter (in warranty). Called dealer from road, and met the two truck at my house. Towed to dealer, fixed, no problem. Gratis.

That just happened to me too a week ago same thing pedal stuck to the floor and cant get it into any gear...

it was the clutch and it was torn up. Got it fixed at Independent Tuning..

Ok so I got the diagnostics today from the shop..apparently clutch is not covered under warranty which is understandable BUT it would cost me nearly 2000 BUCKS! to get it done at the dealer..so that's out of the picture...I called several shops for quotes and got two quotes. One is actually from independent both prices are about the same which is around the $1000 dollar mark.. Still looking for a better price at this point.. if anyone can help out..it would be awesome.

I don't know if it's a US vehicle thing or maybe I had the "Audi Advantage" package or similar, but I remember being told my clutch WAS covered under warranty until 50,000 miles. Maybe you can use this as a reason to go Southbend stage 2 or 3?

Unless you're gonna do the work yourself, it's unlikely you're gonna save much money shopping around as its labour intensive to get at the clutch in the first place. On my B6 A4, the cost was around $800. but that's because I got the SB clutch during a sales event (reused the OEM flywheel) and the car was also getting a turbo upgrade etc. at the same time. IMO, get it done right by someone who knows these cars inside and out ... Independant Tuning gets my vote.

Doubt you're gonna find anything cheaper along with a shop that will do the repairs properly. Suggest Independent also.

Nope they're worn out..I've only had this for about a couple months..so it must've been the last idiot owner that burned out the clutch.

but a burnt clutch just slips and has nothing to do with pedal feel

Got the car back...finally! Clutch was completely gone.. Not sure what caused it but I'm just glad that I got my car back. Thanks for the opinions, advice, etc... I am now down $1,100!!! Next on the list exhaust!
