    Offset - will ET+35 18"x8" fit nicely on a B7 S4

Hi there. I am buying some wheels for winters on my B7. I've got 235.40.18 winter tires, so it makes sense to go 18x8 with the wheels. My question pertains to offset

will +35 work? There's a set of RS4 reps at +35 that a local guy is selling. Stock wheels are +45 I believe, so 1 cm difference. That being said, I have NO idea what that means!

excuse my ignorance (again) and help me out. Cheers.

stockers are +43. +35 will look the best since the wheel will be flush with the fender. Basically, the lower the offset, the further the wheel sticks out.

Can someone please explain to me that why these wheels that I ordered are sticking out 1/2 inch in the front for my B6 S4 then?

Maybe its because you bought some low quality reps and the offset is not as stated.

    I have 19x8.5 w/ ET32 and everything is flush.

I have 19x8.5 in 245/35/19 +35 and its super flush in the front but i feel like the rear could come out 2-3 mm. I've wanted to try spacers, but don't really want to buy them since its such a small margin... =\

staggered in what way? Different wheel widths? diameters? or just staggered offsets (like bringing our rear w/ spacers or having the offset more aggressive)

generally speaking staggering is avoided and can cause the quattro system to detect slip when there is none, but what specifically are you talking about?

    +1

There has been a few threads debating the staggered setup.

    Re: Offset - will ET+35 18"x8" fit nicely on a B7 S4

Does it look funny? I think the fronts at ET35 should stick out a bit....considering what my stock 18" wheels/235.40.18 tires look like now. ET35 should be 10mm further out...which is just under 1/2". Rears should be fine.

p.s. POST PICS so we can see. I promise nobody will make fun (nobody except MofS)

Stockers are NOT +43 they are +45. +35 on an 8" wheel will NOT make the wheel flush with the fender, it still be tucked in about 1/2". DON'T GUESS!

Everything is NOT flush. I have seen your set up on other cars and know your fronts pass (stick out too far) the front fenders by 5mm and your backs are tucked in by 3mm. I also know why you guys with 8.5" wheels and +32 always turn your front wheel for pics - embarassment.

Would you like me to take a few pics with my wheels not turned?
...or should I save you the embarrassment?

8.5 wheel et 32...fit nice. I'm running 18x8.5 et 32 in the winter on D3's and they fit perfectly flush with the fender.
