What Chip is the best?

I am getting ready to chip my car and want to know what the best chip is to get. What other parts will I need to be installed along with the chip so it runs properly? DV? CAI? Etc...

The chips are pretty much the same for Stage 1, but differ when you go 3 and higher.
A DV would be good for the increased boost.

Wow the few stage 2 complaints seem to have started a trend away from APR. I myself went out 1 hour of my way to get APR over REVO

i hate salt and vinegar... ever realize that the majority of potato chip brands color code their chips?? like, plain has a red colored bag (pringles, red can).. cheese, has orange colored bag.. bbq is like a brown color.. sour cream & onion have the greenish color to them.. and salt and vinegar have a very close color to the green. almost a greenish blue color. you get used to that color coding. i HATE salt and vinegar... i LOVE sour cream & onion. too many times i have reached into a bag that i thought was s c & o, pulled out a handful, and about threw up..

check out the color coding next time you go to the store...

got to admit, first bite of salt/vinegar chip hits you. but once those taste buds get a flowing uummm. come to think of it, there's no chips out other that i actually hate. well, maybe those baked ones frito lays make.

but as far as software... i love revo, and i dont like apr (well discussed, ive had both on my b7, apr just had too many things taht werent perfect) as far as GIAC i dont really know too much about them,except i hear that they only tune fot WOT, and that the car doesnt run smoothly unless its WOT... just my 0.02... many like APR, but many have had problems with it, and from what ive heard very few havehad problems with REVO, if any

I'm not sure where you heard that, but it is not true.

When G.I.A.C. tunes a car, they look to create the best possible software available. They pay attention to power levels, but are not willing to sacrifice driveability to produce the most peak horsepower. G.I.A.C. software is smooth, reliable, powerful and has a very usable powerband.

Are you able to attend any local meets? I'm sure there will be a car equipped with G.I.A.C. programming. Try speaking with the owner and getting their unbiased opinion of the software. They might even let you take their car for a drive, giving you the best possible way to evaluate it for yourself.
