    Squeaky rear Suspension

Lately my car starts to squeak when I get in and in 1st gear getting to take off i guess the car preloads and makes the rear suspension squeak also when I go over bumps. Does anyone have any experience or know what it could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Squeaky rear Suspension

hmmm, jack up the rear end of the car....get under there and lubricate every bushing....its prolly just a dried out bushing....

after you soak everyhting properly....hopefully the squeak is still gone...if not, try to replicate it with the car parked...have a friend bounce the car a bit....

    Re: Squeaky rear Suspension

mine's been doing that too lately, i've chased it down to the back left wheel but it sounds to me like it's coming from somewhere just in front of the back left wheel.

at least on my honda there are actually rear suspension pieces that sit prior to the rear axle, not really sure what's there on my audi

    Re: Squeaky rear Suspension

I am joining this thread! I am slowly getting around to greasing every bushing cuz I am squeaking on the d-side rear.

Greased the upper control arm to the wheel housing bushing a TON today, still squeaking (so don't bother w/ that one). Going to attempt the two that connect the upper control arm to the sleeve/tower tomorrow. I hope it's those.

Pricing out a new rear upper control arm part # 8D0505323A is $262. Bushing are much cheaper but you need a way to press them into the UCA.

I hope it's something to just grease - grease is cheap!!

    Re: Squeaky rear Suspension

Dude... I had that problem for 2 years. The shit drove me nuts. got so bad it sounded like i had birds in my trunk. The squeak was not bad in the winter time or when it was cold but soon as it warmed up.. the birds were back. 2 weeks ago i had enough of them and I took my car to the doctor and he got rid of the birds. He said the control arm was busted and none of the quick fix stuff would have worked. So my advise to you is stop trying all that quick fix stuff(been there done that) and take it in to the doctor. It costed me $250.00 bucks to get it fix but it was worth it.. no more birds and more important no more embarassment when driving pass the honeys and my shit squeaking...

    Re: Squeaky rear Suspension

"Metal A" Upper Control Arm w/ three bushings = $250.

Bushing for UCA to spindle = $36. Bushing for UCA to shock/strut sleeve = $15 (x2).

I'll try the $66 solution. But THANKS for letting me know none of the quick fixes will work.

    Re: Squeaky rear Suspension

I used a grease injector w/ a needle and greased my rear sway bar links, that took care of it for me.
