Got the O.CT tuning chip..1st impressions!

Ok..So I bit the bullett and purchased the O.CT chip from Vivid Racing in Gilbert, Arizona! First off, Thanks to Jeff there for taking care of me!!n They did a dyno on their Mustang Dyno for a baseline and then the aftermath.

My impressions with the chip is that it feel "stockish" which to me is a good thing. There are no jerky spikes or jumps in the driving of the car. Driving away from Vivid, I noticed the idle was SO MUCH SMOOTHER! Even taking off from a dead stop was smoother! LOL...
On the drive home I decided to "hammer" the car. Man it pulls and pulls and pulls with no jerkiness or lag! This thing just wants to go! I was at 110 mph in a few seconds and had to hold back so I wouldnt get nailed by the cops!

In addition to the chip, Vivid put in a drop in K&N panel filter, which O.CT highly suggest. I can actually hear the turbo spool and the slight wastegate sound from the filter!

All in all, I'm thrilled with the ECU flash and give mad props to Vivid! In my mind I think this is the programming that Audi SHOULD have made the car with! Its not overly aggressive but does the trick safely!

This may be the direction I want to go with my car..but I have no O.CT dealer near me. Plus, I'll have to wait until my warentee is up as this would void it. Plus, there is no way to change back to a stock program w/out getting flashed back to stock.

my car is a CPO so I have another zillion miles left and it should be fine. Plus Jeff at Vivid was my service advisor at Audi Chandler and they have a Audi-trained mechanic too. He gave me the "lowdown" on ECU flashes and told me not to worry. They will reflash it back incase it gets erased.

Thanks! I really didnt knwo what to expect since they are a European firm and hardly anyone has them on their car here in the States, but man I'm impressed! Someone really did their homework in designing this ECU program! Once again insanely smooth and power for days!

well if they are "gunning" my car, i'd be pissed lol! But seriously, they cant tell as the chip is undetectable via VAG scan tool. Dont let the warranty thing scare you from chipping the car. They have to prove the chip caused said issue. it has to be a direct result. Ive had plenty of chips and have had no issues with warranty claims

Of course it is. If it is making 18psi and there is no stock program all you have to log is boost.
