    Re: CPO?

no...actually a lot of dealers offer chipping and other performance parts..it will only void the warranty of a part if the added part causing the failure of any part...which they have to prove...

So I wouldnt void my warranty if I bought an APR stage 1 chip and a milltek exhaust? Assuming I had the dealer install them.

first...dont cheat yourself...get 1+, second, as good as milltek is, look into performancepeddler.com....a lot of us just bought the magnaflow system for $589 shipped, cheapest i found milltek was $1100...3rd, look up the magnus munson act...i think thats how its spelled, it says a manufacturer cannot void any factory warranty as a result of working on your own car or putting your own parts on...unless they can prove that what you did or put on caused the fault of another part...4th..all techs get paid by the job so most of them wont turn away work

    Re: CPO?

All the mods listed in my signature were on my car while I still had the CPO warranty. While under that warranty, I had the fuel pump and fuel filter replaced and the transmission rebuilt (due to slightly worn throw out bearing). Some dealers are ok with aftermarket performance mods. Others won't touch the car. Talk to your service agent at the dealer to get their view.

Also know that the law states that they must provide proof that the aftermarket item is responsible for the failure of an item that would be covered under warranty. If they cannot prove this, then they cannot deny your warranty cliam. If they deny anyway, you have legal rights (an attorney letter to the dealer usually fixes it). If the fault is because of the aftermarket item, then you would need to work with the aftermarket's warranty that they place on their product.

    Re: CPO?

trust everybody when they say go 1+.. just a chip is fun for a couple weeks. I had apr stage 1 done at fastaddiction over a year ago. Never been in a 1+ car, but the added boost and extra fuel is bound to be a lot more fun. Or... if you think you'll be bitten by the mod bug, save the ~500-600 you'll spend on a chip and pile up on supporting mods for stage 3.

If you want a ride in my stg3 let me know. Hope your coilpacks got fixed!

    Re: CPO?

in case this wasn't made clear, don't go to the dealer for installation. you'll be charged double, if not triple the price of another shop. and for something like an exhaust, almost any muffler shop will do the exact same thing as a dealer. and also, don't let the dealer know what aftermarket stuff you have on your car unless you absolutely have to. no sense in telling them more than they really need to know.

and by the way i LOVE the jeffersonville area! i miss vermont so much at times...

    Re: CPO?

i have apr...but since apr moved they have the worst customer service and knowledge of their own products...they lost all their good employees...i will never buy another apr product again...only reason i go with them is because you have the ability to turn off the chip and hide it...which is what i do when i go to the dealer
