so today i went to adjust my boost guage and looked at my wires and the white one has brown marks on it in spots. I know that means that something is frying it but i have no idea where to start. Something wants it to catch on fire. So i left my boost guage out possibly thinking this is the problem. Has anyone had similar symptoms or even know what it could be? Thanks

What kind of boost gauge is it? If it's Omori/AWE where you tied the red wire to the white wire, did you fuse it? Are they soldered together well? And where are you getting power from, 75X?

its the awe vent guage. i know i didnt fuse anything but should i have? I don't know about tieing into any wires because my buddy helped me install it since he knew better than i did. I also know we didn't solder anything. I'll ask him where we got our power source from and trace the line to make sure. any other suggestions...

hey I am kinda local to you, I have mine on the 75X and have no prolems for over 3 year and I don't have a fuse on it. also mine is a vacume one, so there is just power for the light. def trace out the wire and see were it is fused also look under the dash to see if it is rubbing on something to caused a short, good luck. let us know how you make out. Also what ever wire is burned cut it out and run new to replace it.
