    2007 RS4 pricing

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Average retail asking price for 2007 RS4s seems to be in the low $50s from my national searches on cars.com and autotrader.com.

For those who have recently sold or are currently selling their 07 RS4 chime in and comment on demand for the car and the price range in which transactions are taking place (as opposed to asking price)? If you prefer to PM me, please do so.

    Thanks

Prior to Wall Street's melt down (read two weeks ago), you could pick-up a low mileage, mint condition 2007 RS4 with premium for $50k - $53k after some negotiating (the high end of the range represents CPO pricing from dealers).

    Re: 2007 RS4 pricing

I just went car shopping with wifey and a few dealers were knocking up to $12k off the sticker of 2008 RS4's, putting a few near the low $60k mark! There was actually one dealer that literally had like 8 of them. To the extent you're considering one, a new discounted one may be a better way to go if you get some good financing, especially since you get a brand new car in the process.

    Re: 2007 RS4 pricing

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm not looking to finance and I'm thinking of picking up a used 07 as opposed to a new car (I'm a value guy). Given the current state of the economy, the heavy discounts on new cars and my projection that the economy will continue to deteriorate, I'm looking to pick up a used 07 for mid $40s between December and February. I think that's where the depreciation curve will start leveling off based on historical depreciation of similar cars like the RS6 and M5. The question is...is ~$45k by December/February realistic?

If you find someone who has been sitting on the car for awhile, it sure can be. But dont think you will get that on the 1st or even 2nd try...could take a little looking. Depends how much time and distance you want to put into it..

There are 11 RS4s in the US with an "asking" price of $51-$52k right now with anywhere between 7k mi and 30k mi. I've already seen two cars priced below $50k but they didn't last long. Effectively, I should be able to pay below $50k for any of these cars today. That, coupled with my interpretation of what is yet to come in the financial markets makes me very confident I'll be able to have lots of choices at $45k or less. If you want to argue otherwise, please explain beyond "c'mon".

Good data point. Makes sense that a low $50k car would wholsale for $45k.

Damn! Great deal and a drive away from me too. Still not ready though...I've got to sell the A4 before I start looking. Besides, I'm ideally looking for a black car with titanium package.

    Thanks for the heads-up!

    Re: 2007 RS4 pricing

I'll be looking around august/sept 09 for a new car an the RS4 has definitely caught my eye. The question is even with one with 20-30K miles how will the maintenance costs be? or what will the warranties cover really? I'm sure brakes, Rotor's and tires aren't going to be cheap. Needless to say thats what comes with a 70K that weighs 3900+ lbs and has 19's stock.

Only cars that fit my pick are...

    Audi A5 S-Line (Used)
    Audi S5 (Used)
    Audi RS4 (Used)
    BMW 335I (used)
