anyone ever see these used on an A4? I think it could fit in place of the factory IC for a stealthy install.

that's cool and I bet you could use your winshield cleaner tank to cycle the water thru it. I dig it someone needs to try this!!! I would place it before the IC because of space and still use the stock smic, can't hurt and i imagine can only help.

But the problem would be the engine and the heat from the sun would heat up that water tank and then when the turbo would start working it would get even hotter. It will eventualy get hotter then running a front mount. Over all Air in the front of the car is infinate while Water in the tank will always be the same amount and the temperature will always rise!

There is no reason why a custom water tank can't be made and placed away from major heat sources. It can also have something like a motorcycle gas cap so you can throw ice in it. Perfect for drag racing.

or place a heat exchanger infront of the radiator, basically a small radiator for the intercooler system

    Re: liquid intercooler

i think you would need to run a small radiator just like urban just mentioned, all of the other water IC kits i have seen all came with a water pump and a smaller side mounted radiator. You need to dissipate the heat somehow, if you don't have a radiator then you won't be able to remove the heat from the liquid you are circulating.

front mount rad. is included in the "kit" along with water pump and hoses. I think this would be a killer setup for anyone not living in desert environments like az.
