From Black To Gold (Phase I)

I am changing my rims from black to gold. Couple of pics to share. I am working on the rears now and they should be done soon. I am also working on the bolts for the fronts to paint them black. Some touching up is needed to the finished product but I am not done yet. And yes I know the center caps don't match, I got some new ones on the way. Enjoy.

I like the black, but I would have disassembled them to keep the stainless steel rim with black insert. A little late now. Still looks great, esp. with the blackout grille.

I had the gold with polished lips on my Jetta GLI a long time ago. So i think thats why im over that look. lol. But as long as its new and cool to you and go for it. Changeing looks up is always good, its keeps things fresh.

Thx everyone. I am thinking about going to fixxfest. The evo in the garage is actually my old car. It is not a real evo but I had an evo engine in there fwd conversion but I gave up on that car because....long story. I gave it to my brother for his 16th birthday. I love that car, i'm an idiot....oh well, I got audi love now.

Black ones were too dark, and gold ones remind me of trashy dayton rims you see on lowriders. Not a big fan of either to tell you the truth. Maybe polished lip with black inside would be best but i dunno.

Those center caps came with the rims but I got bbs replica center caps from an ebay seller.
