H&R sport springs on stock sport shocks?!

I was going to start the same thread! lol

I've got an 04' USP A4 and was wondering if H&Rs would even make that much of a difference in height since the car is already lowered from the factory sport suspension.

Let's see some pics guys! ....oh and don't forget to mention what springs your running!

Dont know if this will help, but here is my car the day I bought it...04 stock sport suspension w/ sport 17's


and here it is with ABT race springs with stock sport shocks and Rs4's


Not the best pictures for comparison, but I think you get the idea. Ride quality is great, not much bounce, doesnt take bumps too bad. A little squeaky in the front going over speed bumps, but I'm very happy with the ride height and handling.

sorry to threadjack, i didnt want to make another thread for this question but how much would a set of neuspeed race drop on an 02 sport suspension?

since those springs have a 2inch drop.. i would guess maybe between 1.5-1.7? since you have a stock sport susp. The drop on race springs are sweeeT!

How long have you guys been runing the springs on stock shocks? i'm thinking of doing it, would it last at least 2 years driving around 10-15K miles a year on stock shock?

I've been running NS Race on stock sport shocks for a while now. I'm happy with the ride. I know it could be better, but it definitely gets me by until coil-overs or parting out, haha. My stock shocks have 76k miles on them about 6k with the race springs. Still fine. I'm sure Bilsteins would help a lot too though.

Moral of the story... It works. Good spring/shock pair or coilovers of course would be a much better ride though.

Hey guys,

For those of you who have the aftermarket springs on stock shocks how is that pairing working out for you? Is it a setup that will last a while or are you planning to switch over to coilovers or aftermarket shocks?

I've got the sport suspension on my 03 3.0quattro A4 with 50k miles. I have 19"s but they rub a bit when I'm going on a down slope when it levels out. How much would aftermarket springs help this problem? How much more will it lower my car? Thank you

this is my 02 b6 non-usp with h&r spring/stock shock/stock 17..its been almost 2yrs now. it sits pretty low ( 1.75) and rides pretty good. i have new 18 rs4 rep on now and sits even better (dont have pics yet cuz a4 got broken into and they took my camera).

UPS should be coming with my springs today. hell yea!! Can't wait for the install..

oh yea I almost forgot... my car is still at the shop waiting for the new TCU again!!
