my bearing caps got messed up. i had them lined up the correct order and now its all fudged. does anyone remember the order they go on? I decided not to put in cams just yet on my built aeb head that i assembled. (034 valve springs and integrated valves).

i assume the front cam seal cap is 1 and goes 2,3,4,5 back towards the tranny. is the correct?

Yeah, they count down from the pulley. I made that mistake before and cracked a camshaft.

    Re: cam bearing caps

I think #5 is out back (with the cam alignment arrow) and #1 is up front but can not remember off the top of my head.

Check out the photos in my cam install thread and see if you can figure it out: http://audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=229219
