License plate trim

hey so i finally just got tired of the front license plate and i decided to take it off. Where can i go about getting the peice to replace the one i have without the holes in it. I called the dealer and they said they dont make it but i know someone that has it and he got it off ebay but they dont have it on there anymore.

anyone know where to get it from?

I've been looking for this also. Thanks! You can just get the paint from your dealer and paint it yourself.

Why would you need a front plate on your car?

Is Houston laws different from Dallas laws?

^^^ not sure, but I got pulled over by some fat cop on my way to san antonio. I knew I was only going 72 in a 70, not swerving, I signal when I change lanes, had my seatbelt on and everything… it was the middle of the day. Anyway, he gave me a warning and said I needed to have a license plate on the front of my car or else it would be some ridiculous fine, so I’d rather put one on then have to pay the government more money than I do. Not all cops suck , but this guy was definitely a douche.
