rwd drive cars in general will have a better chance but even then they both have more whp then the rs4 and the downfall is the awd system on teh rs4 heats up the tires quick causing understeer while the rwd cars dont get this as much.
Apples to apples, RWD will always be faster in the straights and AWD will always be faster through the turns. Simple racing physics. Audi cleaned up in the mid to late 90s thanks to quattro until it got banned and sanctioned from various racing circuits due to the unfair advantage afforded by AWD.
As for tires, heat is generated from high speed and g-force and has nothing to do with the drive system of a car. Excessive heat is generated when slipping (over/under-steer) but that just means the car is not being driven to its full potential, regardless of whether it has RWD, AWD or FWD.
