ANY SHORT THROW SHIFTER WILL NOT HARM YOUR SYNCHROS. Synchros wear due to use just like brake pads would.
The driver and their driving style is what does it. Think of a synchro like a brake pad. A synchro is just a round piece of friction material that speeds up and slows down the gears for smooth shifting. So like brake pads (another type of friction material) if you force it and shift fast all the time of course you will wear it more, just like the person who slams on their brakes hard and drives hard will wear out their brake pads faster than someone who brakes slowly and gingerly. Also being a wear part that it is, the more shifting you do the quicker it will wear. So if you are driving all day in the city and shifting constantly and downshifting you will wear them way faster than a car that is driven all highway. So that is why some cars will show synchro issues at 40k and others at 150k miles. There are exceptions to this like any mass produced part, you may get a poorly made synchro just like you could get a poorly made brake pad and get premature regardless.
So don't be in fear of buying any short throw shifter. You can shift extremely fast with a stock shifter as well. Also maintenance and gear oil changes are often neglected.

Hope this doesnt happen in your case...best of luck there...
Sorry to hear about that. I personally respond to every email I receive. Something must have happened. Sorry for your experience. The longest I have ever taken for a response on a shifter is a day or two tops.
What email did you send it to?
Thanks
