inspection time and my windows are too dark

In Texas only the driver and pass windows have to pass 20% on the window tint meter. I am at 12%. Anyone know of a way that I can get away with this when I go to get my car's yearly inspection? Some say to just go with your windows down and hope for the best. Is there a fuse that I can take out so the tech cant roll up the windows? I am thinking about using some kind of window regulator story.

I realize this is lame, but I love my dark windows.

Pay them off $$$$$$$$$. That is, if they fail you first without you saying anything.

Start peeling my friend. A sharp razor and some windex and/or rubbing alcohol work well. I had the same issue here in MD after moving up from FL. There is no other way, short of some type of illegal payoff.

The windows need to be up for the tint meter to work so the fuse idea aint gonna get it.

I think you can get a Dr.'s note and you'll be okay anywhere. Here in IL it works because my friend had an accident and had severe burns all over his body and got a Dr.'s note to have dark tint.
