    Just saying hello

Well I'm glad to say that i'm the proud new owner of a 2004 4.2 allroad. I've been hanging around the b5s4 forum for a few years now and finally found my way into getting one of these. Long story short, I was in desperate need of a new car. I was using my stage 3 s4 as a daily driver and as most of you can imagine, that was a big mistake. Because of an installation error of a part, I managed to do some serious damage to my motor and turbo's, and have been without a car for a week now. My new Allroad has 52K on it, navigation, and all the other fun stuff that comes with those cars. Here's a few questions. What should I be looking out for as far as issues with this thing. I already know airbags are common, but besides that, what else is problematic?

Its drives really nice. I had it on the lift today and the only thing that it needs is a driver side cv boot, so I will get that taken care of tomorrow. As far as chipping goes, this thing is staying bone stock. Every last dollar I have is going to go into rebuilding my B5's motor. I blew it up installing my water/meth injection kit Yep, I'm an idiot.

Thanks M, I was going back and fourth about whether or not to get a 2.7 or 4.2. And I ultimatley came to the conclusion that two 2.7's in the family is one to many. I love that motor, but christ does it get expensive. Sorry I forgot to get back to you about the avant, we really don't have any anyway so I'm glad it worked out for you. If you ever need anything from my dealer just let me know.

No worries man. I was actually dealing with Halleh for a while. Ultimately, we found the dealer that actually had the avant we wanted (there were only 6 in CA supposedly) and got a deal that worked. I must say, sitting and driving a brand new car really puts in perspective how old our S cars are...don't get me wrong, performance is almost unrivaled as Stage 3, but there are no squeaks, rattles, etc. in a new car.

With a 4.2 V8, I'll see you at a gas station in OC sometime Also, thanks for the gracious offer
