This is the 3rd propshaft rear seal that they changed. The first one was about a year ago, then a few weeks ago I got some oil drippings in my garage, they told me it was the seal so they changed it. Yesturday I look in my garage and I saw the same drippings in the same spot, when I brought my car to Audi today they said it was a faulty seal, is that possible???? Can there be anything else causing the seal to break or wear prematurly??

Is this the one at the tranny or the one on the rear diff? Is your tranny a manual or a tip.

Excessive clearance in the propshaft bearing/bushing will cause the shaft to wobble & damage the seal. If the surface that the seal rides on is damaged, same thing.
