Looks to be a Walbro GSS340 fuel pump, plenty A4 owners have ran walbro pumps in their car by just buying one for $100.

ATP sells the pump alone for $129

The metal housing on your link looks like it is designed for the Passat which is different then our A4.

I have that exact fuel pump, and it's worth it, it makes installation much simpler and is defentally plug-n-play. no ghetto rigging involved with buying the pump seperatly and making it fit in the stock housing. i also haven't had 1/4 tank issues, but I'm also still on the stock K03.

    Wich one do you have??
How under rated are the walbro pumps? is it good for lets say 350 all wheel horses wich would be well beyond the rating of 400hp

I have the one with the ATP housing the OP is referring to. the walbro is a good, cheap pump. like most things you get what you pay for though, and I have read of it seizing before. I wouldn't want to try to max the thing, if You are looking at more than say a 2871 or small 30 series, I'd go look at a bosch 044 and be done with it, unless you go past 700HP.

If there's one thing I've learned about modding from the past 3 years it's always build room for improvment.

Re: Is this a good fuel pump???

I have a Passat and I can assure you that the ATP Walbro+housing doesn't fit in the Passat due to a totally different basket.
On an A4 it fits ok.Also an A4 will never ever face starving issues due to its basket and pump being plased in a "sump".Unlike the A4,tha Passat has the Golf Mk IV type of swirl tank.
Now I hope not to go OT:
For anyone interested to use the Bosch 044 in the A4,I have available a "drop in basket kit" bought from 034 MS , which is of no use to my Passat.I am keeping the pump which came with the kit and if you already got the pump I can supply the kit for cheap.

Yes it fit in mine... I got a foam sleeve that fits over the pump and then it drops in... Just be gentle with the basket, its fragile and the dealer will only sell a pump/basket assembly

I didn't use the sleeve and had no issues.

Re: Is this a good fuel pump???

if you don't use the foam sleeve, the pump will bounce around in there since it's not in there snugly. I don't see how that could be a good thing...
