Just bought a 2003, A4, 3.0 L. Car is a mess, starting to figure some things out.
Inside of the air inlet ducting, is this neat little screen. None of my other A4s have this. Problem is, that the screen is crushed. Looks like it wasn't designed correctly for the bracing inside of the duct. Not a big deal, I'm just curious. Most everything on Audis is well designed. If you look at a part, and think about it, you can figure out how it is supposed to go together. Is everyone just pitching these screens? Or does it serve a purpose (getting longer life out of the air filter)?
Thanks!
