I had my car off for 8 days. I went to turn it on today and the radio is completely dead. No light or anything from it at all. Fuse on back of radio is intact, and the 20amp on the side of the dash is good as well. So I dont understand why it wouldnt be working if all the fuses are good and I didnt touch anything at all. please help..

    Re: RADIO 100% DEAD help

id like to fix this one first before I buy another. How would disconnecting the battery help? Would it like "restart" it?

    Re: RADIO 100% DEAD help

i know this is going to sound really weird -- but check ALL your fuses.

odds are another one is blown, and that's causing the radio to not work. It may be something stupid that you don't use either. I had a blown home link fuse once and my headlights stopped working - go figure

Disconnecting and connecting right back will cut power to all electrical fuses and all. I had the same problem I disconnected my battery and removed the fuse then connected back up install the fuse again and the radio was back and running.
Dont kno if that should help GL

You can pull the radio fuse out and put it back in... it's worked twice for me when I had a stock radio....

    Re: RADIO 100% DEAD help

I'm pretty sure (90%) that there's a fuse on the back of the headunit as well. Along with two other radio fuses in the driver's side fuse box.

It may sound dumb...but also, try just holding down the 'on' button... I've seen it happen.

I agree, iv had stuff like that happen. I would also recommend swapping the fuses, just because it looks fine doesn't mean it is!

    Re: RADIO 100% DEAD help

thanks for all you're guys input. I actually went down to the dealer and one of the techs let me borrow his radio removal keys. So i took the double din out, its the 6CD one and I looked at the red fuse on the back bottom and it was in tact. So I'm going to take off my battery and let it reset and we will see what happens. thanks

    Re: RADIO 100% DEAD help

so I unplugged the battery took the fuse out, then I plugged battery back in and put the fuse back in. I could hear the 6CD system making noises like its loading discs, but still the sound and LCD are off. Any other suggestions before I hand my car to the stealership, its either going to be something faulty like a wire, but I see them having me buy a new radio at $1,200 or some crappp.
