    Question All because you guys.

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Ok. I was born in Brazil (lots of VW) I'm in the great USA for 8 years and loving it. I been reading this Forum for almost 2 years everytime I have a chance. Because you guys I got into the Audi / German cars. Finally last December I got my first Audi A4 2004 1.8t Quattro Sport package, 6 on the left leg, with no mods at all, very clean I'm the second owner. Anyway I want to lower and put some nice wheels. .

1 - What you guys recommed (Brand/Model) to lower it? And how low?

2 - Wheels - I would like to use 19" but lowering and using 19" which one will be better 19"x8.5, 19"x9 19"x9.5. Keep in mind this is my everyday car, and I don't want to run into problems. (if possible).

Please give your input on it. I'm pretty newbie to mods. But because you guys I got into.

I'll be posting some pictures later today.

I would like to do one at the time. So first of all I should say, which one should I do first? Low budget as possible but as long as look nice. If the lower budget means look like S@#$ I'll wait save more to do the right way.

    Re: All because you guys.

Get the rims first so you would know how much to lower your car. Then get the coilovers.

    Re: All because you guys.

suspension first cause ur car will be a 4x4 with 19's most people seem to do bilistien shocks(i think that how you spell it) with h&r springs
the springs are 250 or u can get neuspeeds for 200 and the shocks are a little more then 400

Come on man, you're smarter than that. (Unless you were being sarcastic).

If you get the coils first, then the wheels, you can adjust the height of the coils to fit the wheels. Difference is, you won't look like you're trying to turn your Audi into a donk in the meantime. "Audi ridin' high" doesn't have as nice of a ring to it.

    Re: All because you guys.

I'm also fairly new to the forum, but I agree with most on here that you should go with the suspension mods first and then decide on your wheels.

I've also read on this forum that the H&R sport-springs combined with the bilstein shocks is a great performance upgrade yet still very comfortable for a daily driven car.

    Re: All because you guys.

Buy the suspesnion first. It will improve the ride quality, even on stock wheels. There are several good brands of coilovers that will work well for daily driving (and aren't expensive). Check out the Stasis Streetsports or the Vogtland coilovers from PureMS.

As for wheels, 8.5 would probably be the best bet, with a 235 series tire. As for the brand, its totally up to you (and your budget). I have Oettingers (in 18") and I like them, but there are probably people who don't. Wheel choice is very subjective; you need to get what you like.

    Hope this helps

Best advice so far, do this, and then worry about wheels
