Question B5 S4 brake upgrade - hard brake lines question

    Hey guys,

Quick question on my front brake upgrade I'm hoping someone knows the answer to....

I am doing a B5 S4 front brake upgrade on my B6. My question is: Do I use the B5 S4 hard brake lines, or the ones from my B6?

I purchased the B5 S4 calipers and carriers from out of town, and when I received them the hard lines had been removed....ideas anyone?? TIA!

The hard lines on the calipers themselves? You're going to need them. Those calipers are two piston versus your OEM single piston caliper.

The flexible line going from the caliper to the frame rail can be either the B5 S4 or B6 A4 one. I actually used my original flexible brake line to connect to my B5 S4 calipers.

yes - the hard lines on the calipers themselves....i know they are (2) piston, but I thought there was only (1) inlet port I saw for the hard line? I saw another port for a fitting, but it is smaller diameter. Not correct?

I do not remember the specifics of the OEM calipers and whether or not you can re-use the hard lines on the S4 calipers. I would just buy new hard lines for the S4 calipers. Check the AW classifieds. I see those brakes on there quite often. Worst case just go to the dealer (like Sami mentioned) and get new hard lines.

One place it is advised never to cut corners: your car's brake system.
