Question about MT

So i just got my job back at the audi dealership i used to work at and i was talking to the mechanic to try to figure out if they are eventualy going to come out with the 6 speed and he said not until the first batch of cars is delivered or something like that? Is that true, i get incentives from audi now starting next month so we get cars at cost, so im strongly considering saving for a down payment on a 09 but not unless they come out with 6spdMT.

I heard that they will come out with the mt in this spring. I read that in some car magazine that featured the 09 A4.

Haha exactly which is why by the time im ready to make my down payment, which will be august of next year im hoping they have the MT or else im getting a 05 A4 USP.

So you work at a dealership, and you are asking a forum about the availability of a product you should have knowledge in?

You would be surprised at how knowledgeable those dealership ppl are.

Here's one of my conversation with some Audi parts department guy.

Me "Hi, Im looking for a driver's side front window regulator"

Guy "For what car?"

Me "02 Audi A4 1.8T"

Guy "A4 2002, that's the current body style right?" (This was before the B8's came out)

Me "No, it's a B6 A4"

Guy "V6? I thought you said 1.8?!"

Me "No, not V6, it's a B6."

Guy "If it's a 1.8T it can't be a V6" (in an annoyed affirmative tone)

Me "hmm yeah, it's a 2002"

Guy "Is it quattro?"

Me "No, front track"

Guy "Is it a quattro?"

At this point im just rolling my eyes.

Just last week I went to a Toyota dealership and walked up to a group of sales guys that were talking in a cirlce, and told them that I was looking for a urban edition 4runner.
They all looked at me and then at each other with a confused look in their faces and one of them finally says "Oh that's coming out next year".

So I looked back towards the dealership and asked them. "This is a Toyota dealearship right? The Urban Edition has been out for over a year already".

Then the guy says "ohh....let me get you our 4runner specialist"

Manual Transmission B8's will be available in the beginning of April. We allready have a waiting list on them

one thing i've learned is never ask a dealership anything, ever.
i've yet to meet a sales person that knows wtf a "B6" is, I always get the "V6?" response.
so anyone know if we're going to get a quattro manual? if not, no A4 for me.
