I like Symphony fine as well, and as you know "management" of speakers is engineered for the car by Bose so we need to tread carefully with changes to amps, speakers. (I even go back to when there weren't amps for each speaker.) But anyway, either with RNS or Pioneer, it "replaces" Symphony by serving as pre-amp as I understand it. Pioneer 700 seems superior to RNS in terms of features -- from screen to sound, SD card, etc. (Who really makes RNS?)
Problem I see is that in either case we're locating Nav where stereo cont'ls go and that's pretty far down the console for Nav (esp with bifocals, but we won't go there). C5 design is tough for in-dash since vents are where they are -- not at all like current model where Nav is up top where it should be. I'm thinking Garmin at corner of dash, driver side the more I investigate. Let's face it, car is 9 yrs old and only so much you can do with lipstick....
