Lemmiwinks and HEX-USB question

I've been searching the web for lemmiwinks information because I am interested in the potential of the program and expanding my car systems experience.

On another forum, people were mentioning that USB dongles won't work with Lemmiwinks without some kind of "USB virtual serial port driver". I have a ross-tech HEX-USB cable.

Persons with experience, can you confirm this for me? Can you recommend a source for this driver or a guide that is currently available?

I have a hex/can usb vag cable and it will not work with lemmiwinks. Some say they have gotten it to work, but not me. I have to use a generic OBDtool connector and cable with single serial PC card to get mine to work on my HP.
