K, I bought some bosch spark plugs from aptuning and on the side of the box it says .7mm which I think is .031in gap? is that what I should keep it at for my stock 2.7t A6 or should it be .028in gap? Thanks in advance

Yes, the stock gap is 0.032". So 0.031" is just fine. What model plugs are they?

    Re: Spark Plug help

Just a heads up, the plug in the picture are Bosch F5DP0R plugs. They are a plug that you would use on a stage 3 car. (K04 turbos, fueling upgrades and all other hardware)

These plugs will most likely foul out on a chipped -to- Stage 2 car since they are 2 heat ranges cooler than stock.

Those plugs are also gapped at 0.024" not 0.031". I know because I have them in my car.

Great for a stage 3 but total overkill on a chipped car.

    Re: Spark Plug help

I've been searching for something on spark pulgs for an S6, but I can't find anything, so I'm reviving this thread.
I'm changing the plugs in my S6. I was going to buy them at the dealer, but $125 was a bit much for a set of plugs. But I forgot what kind they were. I think they were Bosch. Does anyone know off hand what type or P/N I need?
Or is there something comparable that doesn't cost like $17 a plug?
Or should I stop being lazy and go look in the owners manual, if it's in there?
    Thanks, gurus.

    Tony,

You should come out to NJ and we'll do your 60K together. You can drive my SHO around the driveway for old times sake. :)

If I drive another SHO, I'm going to BUY another SHO. I have been trying to break it to my wife that I am probably going to get another one at some point, and it's probably going to be turbocharged.
