Hey everyone... I was wondering if there is a rear brake upgrade for our B6's.. I know for the front the cheapest way to go is S4 B5 brakes... im gonna get that shortly... But what about the rear?.. i know rear brakes arent segnificant, but just for looks i'd like to go bigger.... What are the options, if anyt?..

    thanks

    I did B7A4 Front/Rear Conversion.

B7A4 Fronts are MONSTERS compared to B6A4 Fronts.
B7A4 Rears are about the same size as B6A4 Fronts

    B6 Front - Top Left
    B7 Front - Top Right
    B7 Rear - Bottom Right
Dirty Ass Piece of wood - Top Top Right

The B7 and B6 fronts are almost identical (caliper size wise). The B6's pictured just don't have the carrier on them.

So, would the factory rear caliper on a B6 with 245X10mm work with the B7 caliper carriers and the 288X12mm rotors?

    Re: - Brake Upgrade Q:

Stasis/Alcon, Brembo, and Stoptech only recommend a rear upgrade with AT MINIMUM 355's up front inorder to keep OEM bias. If using an OEM upgrade up front, I would upgrade to a better (same size) rotor in the rear with new pads, lines, and fluid. This is of course for the function over form idea!

    Re: - Brake Upgrade Q:

I have the ECS S4 rear brake upgrade kit along with my Stoptech 332 BBK up front. I also have stainless steel brake lines, Ferodo DS2500 front pads, Carbotech Bobbat rear pads, and Motul RBF600 brake fluid. I've had this setup now for over a year (and about 30-35k miles). I absolutely love this setup! I've done several track sessions with zero brake fade. The back end does not brake out from me. When I hit the brakes, it's like a giant hand pressing down on the entire car.

does that mean if i get brakes from a b6 s4 on all 4 corners that the bias won't be correct?

You will be fine however it wont have the same bias as an S4. Different master cylinder and proportioning valves

I just bought a B6 S4 front set of brakes and was planning on going 3.0 on the back. Is that ok to do?
