question about my new 5.0 bar FPR, or is it?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
couple weeks ago i got a my KO4 flash from AWE and this past friday, i just got my new 5.0 bar FPR from neuspeed. I went to install it today and peeled off the 5 bar sticker on it and underneath etched into the FPR says 4.0 bar!! WTF
    heres what it reads:
    4.0 BAR 689 0280 160 575 - - the link is below
    http://www.neuspeed.com/products/pro...euro&p_id=1054

the PN on the little baggie matches the PN on the website & i didnt get a chance to contact the vendor but i will be doing that 1st thing tomorrow.
    any thoughts? suggestions? TIA
    Sean

You shouldn't use a 5Bar anyways. The fuel injectors are designed to have an optimal spray pattern between 42 and 50psi. NTM it's hell on fuel pumps.

If you need more fuel on anything past 4.0Bar, you really need bigger injectors. That of course is my opinion, so flame all you want.

I thought they just modify the stock regulator and re-sell them as 5.0bar ones

Re: question about my new 5.0 bar FPR, or is it?

sorry for the double post - computer froze and i didn't check to see if the 1st thread worked. AWE said i needed a 5 bar with a KO4 and someone else on here said i was running too lean with stock 3 bar in there with a KO4 setup....

thanks for helping out! :) time to go in the garage

They take a stock one, fit a socket over the end so it sits on the lip, than get another stockt that fits on the end. Using a vice they compress the spring to make it a 5 bar.

a real bosch motorsport 5 bar fpr will set you back close to $200, but the modified ones work good and are the most common.

Better route would have been to get an AFPR w/gauge and dial it yourself. Too late now, but if you ever feel the need to change that is the route to take.
