    Very dissapointed with MMI

I can't believe this, the more I use the A8L's navi the more frustrated I get. First and foremost I can't understand why it lacks a SD slots even though it's included in the entry model RSN-E. But that's just the begining, entering in destinations is a pain in the ass as you need to go through the totally unnecessary "Special Destinations" category which wastes time and has no option to search for large stores (i.e. Home Depot, Circut City) which can be done in the RSN-E. And now tonight I discovered there's no option for a bird's eye view, again something which IS available in the RSN-E. You'd think Audi would have put a little more thought into desiging the navigation system for their flagship luxury sedan, they're apparantly too busy with their "bread and butter" A3/A4 line.

I understand and agree with your frustrations, but think about it. All of the mentioned shortcomings were there when you purchased the car!

While the RNS-E is a better version IMO, I found the MMI in the A8 to be very user friendly. It's no Lexus when it comes to ease of use, but it's not bad. Fortunately you can still operate navigation functions while driving (unlike Infinity and other JDM's).

And last but not least, it's not iDrive

Haha ok the lack of a SD slot is one thing, but are you going to try to tell me you'd have been able to figure out the other two issues while on a test drive? These are relativly minor software issues and I must admit I had a little faith in Audi that the system would at least have the same features being that it's twice the price of my A4!
