just wondering if anybody has gone balls out with the ko3 before going bt... I was thinking 20psi+, meth/h20 with upped timing, 2step, n20, cams, fmic, etc? just wondering if anyone has broke 13's i guess?

on my 01 i'm running an aeb head and manifold, 034 exhaust manifold, phenolic spacer, full turboback with testpipe, racetech fmic, samco tip, unitronic custom file, yada, yada, yada...basically everything possible bolt on wise to the stock K03S and then some. I'll post numbers as soon as i get to the track and dyno.

BS mine ran 14.8@92 with giac ecu, 3"tp, modded airbox and borla.... Im sure 13's are possible

Hell just a mbc, 100octane tune, and 2step with a decent clutch i think i could have got 14.5!

Full 2.5in straight pipe exhaust + custom (as in ME only tuning it) tune + 21psi + monster k03 + FMIC + shit clutch

without a FMIC, I made 170AWHP and 200FT/lb tq on the dyno with on giac software with milltek exhaust and a test pipe, stock everything else except for a snub and 710N, I think with the SMIC I'd spike to 20PSI or so, post FMIC is more like 17-18psi and holds at 15-16..

now that I have the FMIC, a clutch that dosen't slip and track density motor/tranny mounts, I think the dynolicious software puts me at 6.3 0-60 at 180whp the best pull I had.

cams would only hurt performance on a k03. overlap on such a low power setup is never a good thing. cams only really start making a difference past 30 series garret turbos. Also, 20+PSI is out of the effeciency range of the k03 as well. 12-15PSI is the best spot.. anything past that is best seen as a spike, but will die off anyway higher than 4.5-5K

14.63 @ 92.8 MPH. I know I could do better in the 60', but this is a full weight (3383lbs) car.

I ran a 14.53 at 94mph with ko3s @22psi, ported o2, test pipe, speed tuning, forge 004, short shifter. about 100lbs taken out( jack, spare, toolkit, carpeting, trash etc. With nitrous Im sure someone could break 13's. Theres a youtube video of some guy with a stock ko3 and nitrous with 298whp. Im really considering getting a 50 shot, when the funds are adequate.

rear seats, carpeting, spare? I wouldn't want to go that far, that's more a ricer thing imo. it's an Audi, not some CRX with a 1.5L vtec and a 3" exhaust that's painted 7 different colors. On that note though, a/c, P/S and windshield nozzel motors/res can go. sunroof motor/glass can go, alum./CF delete as a replacement. That's about another 100lbs off.

In order to go into the 13's on the stock KO3(without NOS) The following would be required IMHO.

15" lightweight wheels w/ lightweight worn out hoosier fiberglass belted tires
Fiberglass:
Hood
bumpers
fenders
doors
Removed:
interior-drivers seat and guages
AC, power steering including everything.

All power mods
2.5" exhaust, no cat/muffler
Custom tune for 22+psi running water injection
Mike Hood driving.

I don't know about you, but I measured my spare tire. It's >1" smaller than stock tires, so it's useless to me. I don't even know where mine is anymore, I think it's still holding up my roommate's stock engine for his Miata.

sunroof delete, empty out the trunk, there's a good 30-32" of bumper rebar that can be removed, remove rear seats, door panels, if you want to go nuts pull the window frame/regulators out, then move into the CF stuff.

I know the FMIC will drop a couple psi but really it's lowering the IAT's. Plus besides I doubt the 22psi that some of us push (w/o an MBC) is totally beneficiary. As long as were at 18psi+ the FMIC will only help IMO. I gotta try this. Just gotta wait for the testpipe and IC and start stripping this B****. I got a weight at work for semi-tractors and I went from a recorded 3440lbs to a 3080. Removing everything unnecessary (including a couple hundred lbs of stereo) so I'm SURE a k03s can break into the high 13's.

Yeah, sub&box, amp, full size spare, lining on the trunk lid & hazard triangle, cd changer, tool kit, rear seats, f. passenger (weighed like 50lbs itself!) swapped 18's for 17'' lites, etc. this all took no more than an hour between 2 guys and just went racing around cornfields (I live in the boonies so not a danger to civilians) so I'm sure its worth it to hit the strip. 5-20 lbs here and there really add up. Although with no weight in the back I did feel it uneven so might not be as useful for autox as in a 1000'.
