    Hello guys.
I have a question about misfire on cylinder.
I went to firestone yesterday due to chech engine light is on.
    They did compurterized engine analysis.
They said that misfire is detected on one cylinder.
I dont know which one is.
    Because sprak plugs didn't change.
That made one iginition coil got a problem.
So i need to change these below
    -spark plugs
    -ignition coil

what do you think about guys?
Do i need to take some test before I change it?
    Thanks

    Re: Misfire detected

not sure exactly what you mean lots of words lol, but you can "test" it being a coilpack (ignition coil) by taking the coilpack off, (2 10mm bolts) and switching it to another cylinder to see if the misfire then follows to that cylinder. if it does, the CP is your problem. if not, then take it from there :)

are a few random/multiple cylinder misfires ok ? I clear them and they don't come back for a few weeks... and sometimes I get a few Cylinder 5: Misfire Detected... anything to seriously worry about ?

A CEL is there for a reason, anything that emits a CEL needs to be addressed so that it doesn't get worst. Try a search on coil packs, or misfires and there will be plenty of info to guide you to the right path for your problems.

these random misfire's haven't shown a CEL on my LCD display yet... I only see them because I log the engine codes via VAG-COM

The same thing happened to me this weekend. It is as simple as changing a coil pack. ~$60
