    Question 245/35/19 Tire recommendation .

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I am looking to replace my 235/35/19 Sumitomo HTR ZIII tires with
245/35/19 that would last a little longer than the Sumi's.
I was looking at the Continental ExtremeContact DWS for durability and
also the Exclaims for the good price. Tire rack shows the Exclaims on back order
and I don't know if the Conti's would work for me. I live in TX and there is snow once a year.

Everywhere I have called says that the Exclaims are back order. Is this tire about to be replaced or maybe
    stopped being manufactured?

Any recommendation on which tire to get?

    Thanks.

Are you asking which one to get between the Contis and the Gen Exclaims or are you open to other tire suggestions? I run 245/35/19 Hankook Ventus V12 evos and am very happy w/ them. There are a few comparison shootouts that show that they are very good for the price.

I have gen exclaims now and they are nice and will last longer but they are much louder on the highway and defiantly dont hold the road well. The new set I have are the bridgestone re-01r's and they absolute dreams but they dont make them anymore. I think they were replaced by re-50 something's. I also love any dunlop's, sport max gt.

I'm open to tire suggestions. So far that's the only two that I have looked at.
    Still looking...

The Tre Rack website lists the Goodyear Eagle GT at a ridiculously heavy 27# in 235/35-19 and 25# in 245/35-19. One of those weights must be incorrect, or maybe they are flipped as the Conti DWS in those sizes are only 22#. A few pounds here or there really makes a difference when all the weight is out past a 19" rim.
