Where can I get this IC hose? (marine?)

I remember there being an update on what alternative flexible piping there was and I saw this on the mian AZ page.

Why would you want flexible piping? It isn't going to give you the best flow since it will have ridges on the inside.

BTW its called Water Discharge hose.

Not sure but nothing is going to be better then a very smooth surface, any bumps will cause a turbulance and you want as little of those as possible.

im pretty sure you can get flexible tubing that is smooth inside with a wire wrapping outside for rigidity. i actually have one at my house for use with a water pump

the stuff on ravi's car is NOT water discharge piping that you get from lowes...

it's marine exhaust hose and is EXTREMELY tough stuff. (very thick rubber-type material with a medium gauge wire spiraled around it) it may or may not be flexible enough for your application. The inside isn't entirely smooth like mike said, but the upside to that stuff is that when it compresses on the inside of the bend it doesn't kink up as much - instead it kind of... "squishes"

hard to explain - if you had a section in your own two hands to play with it'd make more sense

Vetus Exhaust Hose and it is not cheap. 2.5" ID hose 6 ft long is $108.

I would still pick hard pipe over any type of hose.

just because its rigid on the outside doesnt mean its not smooth inside. Its just rigid so when its bent there are no creases.

Airflow will be slightly better through the hose than most tubes. There just aren't any restrictions, gaps, or steps in the middle of it like you get from couplers or welds. It is the equivalent of perfect mandrel bent tubing.
