    Driver's seat making squeaking noise

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Lately I noticed that my driver's seat (the part where you rest your upper back on) makes some kind of squeaking noise, I believe its coming from inside the leather, rather than the seat itself going back and forth. Anyone had this happened and what did you do to get around the noise?

Sounds like my issue. It happens more obviously if I push my back into the seat, but I know the seat is not moving, its just I think the foam or whatever is inside the seat that is making the noise. Its kind of annoying too.

I have this too in my passenger seat. I thought the Germans were supposed to design cars without these small flaws.

Are you guys "heavy"? I thought these things only happen when you are too big or heavy to fit in the seat.. but am only like 154 pounds.

Think it's related to the lumbar machinery? Try adjusting the lumbar to see if it goes away.

Funny you mentioned that coz I tried playing around with that and it did not help. I might ask the dealer to tell me if its something covered by warranty. If so, FTW.

from what i have heard ... the little air bag in there that is controled by the stiffness can almost relocate if you press against it too hard... then there are two metal brackets in there that start to rub once you hit that air bladder in there... confusing i know.

I think its somehow related to that, yes, but mine has a mind of its own. I wonder if anyone has a solution for this, sometimes it gets on my nerves while driving
