Ditto. It looks awkward to me having seen it for so long with contrasting side blades. The proportions of the car almost seem to change.

When the car first came out I didn't like the side blades, but now that I've gotten use to the way it looks I like them better then the solid color. If I could afford an R8 it would be white with a carbon fiber blade.

Strangely though, I don't miss the side blade on the pictures of the convertible I've seen, guess the lines are just different enough to not need the contrast of the blade.

Yeah, I saw that car at Champion.
The car actually looks awkward without the blade in another color.
Especially when you see that its a color matched painted body panel and not a smooth section. If that whole section was smooth, it would look MUCH better.
