Did them yesterday, easiest thing i've ever done. Did my side markers as well.

Used Pectra Racing Window Tint cost $6 from Hobby People, and took 6 mins.

ha that gap between the exahust is like 0mm but it still looks good...tails came out real nice too, esp since it was a DIY

Kirk you didn't have to buff the finish at all afterward? or did they just come out that shiny? from the pics on my phone they look real shiny.

no buffing at all came out this way very glossy and real easy no running no globs nothing add coats every 2 mins until u like how dark it is and let dry for 15 and it comes out perfect.

haha best part of my car is how the tips are tucked like stock? lolllll. ya guys thanx a lot for the compliments, pix of the whole car will come soon, just waiting on a couple things, and as for the heat shield Elliot i had to jerry rig it because it wasn't working as i wanted to and the trim that u hae around the edges melts within 2 days. And my mechanic molded it another way. sorry dude i have to be honest.

6 mins? Did you clear it? Mine took about 1.5 hours of work and 6 hours of drying time. I used VHT Nightshade and clearcoat. Then buffed with rubbing compound and polishing compound. Looks good Kirk, BTW.

Really? I'm not arguing with you, but his post said that he used Pactra Window tint, which is a model spray paint brand. I used this stuff for my RC's, it tends to be inconsistent-needing to be shaken very vigorously and even warmed in hot water to get a consistent dusting. This I know because of the countless of RC bodies I F-ed up while tinting the windows...LOL

If all it takes is to take off the tail's and simply spray them I say that's one helluva of an easy great looking mod!!

I just went and sprayed mine tonight. i went a different route and sprayed my clear first for a few coats, then did a few coats on the whole light. The tint on the red is pretty subtle. I'm going to buff and clear mine. Mine came out a little hazy for my liking and I wanna try and bring up the shine a bit. I didn't use pactra but a similar company that the shop recommended. Said a lot of guys are using it. It's a brand called Tamiya. They had pactra too but it wasn't on display and the guys just said use this. I think I used two cans because of overspray but I was working in the dark so I wanted to make sure I got an even dusting so I went way past the light when finishing my strokes.

^^post some pics, mine has 0 haziness. Yes it was sprayed ONLY on the clear part, and using Only tint spray NO clear coat. Bought my tails from someone selling them on here, but u can buy these exact things from "A4 Moda"
