AFR numbers in LogWorks help please

Hi guys, so, I have learned I need to buy the RPM addition to the LM-1 wideband recorder... but for now I am running without it.. Santa will be hearing about that one, haha.

What do you think of these graphs? They're 1st through 3rd pulls.. I am not hitting redline in 4th on our highways :) Sorry I appeared to crop off the AFR axis on the left.. but you can just see it in the 1st one... the lean part of those curves is in the 14's.

I am concerned about the blip just before redline (where the AFR gets rich)... kinda freaks a little bit, is that bad?

Should I be turning the line smoothing on in Logworks?

Looking for any feedback.. I'm a noob at all this logging stuff and have been working with SDS to smooth out my tune.

If there is any extra info I can provide, let me know. I am running the SDS system, so I can manipulate fuel numbers in the MAP chart and by RPM.....

    B.

Ok, RTFM, turned on a little smoothing, really helps to see the plateau's/peaks/valleys. Adjusted some RPM fuel numbers and looking forward to tomorrow.

Dannng, I have to get the RPM addition to the LM-1, first it's 'get the wideband', so I got the wideband... now I need another thing, haha. I feel like a blind man who has been granted the opportunity to see again, but only through another nearly blind man's eyes.

mike-2ptzero: if you check this thread, how is the AUX box setup treating you? anything you love? hate?

Yeah you really do need the RPM but it does look like you go very rich and then lean out during the pull of each gear. You AFR should look flat around 11.0-12.0 thru most of the gear.

I haven't driven the car yet since I installed the Auxbox.

    Thanks Mike.

This (Auxbox) and the new tach are #1 and #2 on the list right now.

Mike, what rationale can you throw at me for 11-12 AFR? Only asking, tuner is suggesting I go to about 12.8.... ?

    Thanks for your opinion.

Thanks AudiA4_20T, I hope the above question didn't sound like some kind of call out. I have been reading more and more info pointing to the same answer, I am just looking for any technical info anyone wants to lob out :)

    Thanks!

034 tuned my car to run 11.5-11.7 to redline. Leaner doesn't always mean more power if the extra fuel is only being used to cool the motor and control EGT's.
