Can I run 1 hid and 1 halogen at the same time?

One of my vvme ballasts has burnt out and I was wondering If I can just remove the wiring to stock and run a halogen on that side while running the hid on the other side........this is for the front headlights.

ps, it's saturday and im going out to the bars and dont want to give reason to a cop to pull me over after last call lol.

u can but u'll get a bulb out warning.
