B7 A4 3.2 Quattro Owners - Opinions for mods.

Since joining this forum I have already quickly noticed there are not as many 3.2 owners, though I'm not sure what the ratio is of 3.2 to 2.0 owners. Probably like most 3.2 owners, I got it cos I did not want to do any engine/chip mods. The power from the V6 was good enough as a daily driver and the sound from the exhaust note was quite pronounced with a sweet rumble.

Anyway, I have a list of mods I want to do and would like suggestions especially if someone has had them done already. I got my tints done and my VMR RS4 18" reps GM will be arriving next week.

1) After seeing the AWE B7 A4 Quad tip exhaust, I definitely want that look. Now my question is, is it worth spending the money on an exhaust system, or should I just keep the stock one but only change the tips to the Quad tips and replace the valance with the S4 valance?

Also, what would anyone suggest to make the 3.2 exhaust note even more pronounced? (audio of some samples will be even better).

2) Do I need wheel spacers? Are spacers good for the car?

3) I am thinking of getting the RS4 style trunk spoiler, are there any sleeker looking spoilers?

4) I also wanted the 2-pc front spoiler to add to the bumper and then maybe add the front splitter beneath it also?

5) Anyone found a way of getting the window trim black'd out like the Titanium package?

I am on a tight budget, so I'm not really all out for pushing the car, but more so on the aesthetic side. I will also be getting the blackout grill.

most of those are a matter of opinion. i would suggest just tips for the exhaust if you just want the look/little more sound.

wheel spacers depend on the offset of your wheels. i have +35 offset and don't run spacers.

oem plus sells Ti package trim, but it's like $800. i know some people have used vinyl, but i'm not sure how good the results are.

black out grille and smoked reflectors are good, cheap mods to get you started and change the appearance quite drastically.

I dont know how much you have to work with...

but the the first couple mods was:

a.) drop the ride
b.) wheels (Im on my third set)

I too purchase the 3.2 because I did not want to chip nor do much engine work to compromise the reliability of the vehicle.

I was never a AWE fan so I went with custom set up using Apexi WS2 mufflers.

It just started to break in and the sound is deep BUT not loud.

If you got enough loot go with wheels and the drop...it does wonders for the aesthetic of your car

Thanks for the reply, I've been away for a while. Anyway, I have decided on some things. Like toothysaw suggested, I would just go with Quad tips only for the look. I have ordered the Quad tips I want. I have also ordered the S4 valence which I will paint gloss black to match my car.

I have got the wheels already

The blackout grille is still on it's way, taking an awful time to get here. I have also ordered the Cupra Lip for the front.

As for the window trim, a buddy of mine said he could help me paint that. He said we could give it a matte gunmetal finish just like the wheels. I am also thinking of debadging the car.

By the way, it is not an S-line.

Thanks.....the car seems to be coming along nicely, can't wait till it is all done. Here are the tips I ordered:

post pics when every thing is done, it should look great! also do a sound comparison if there is any differences

They will be going on my stock exhaust. The mechanic shop I go to will chop off the stock tips and weld these tips to the stock exhaust. If you want updates to how it will all look as my car progresses, you can just follow my other thread http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=238976
