New B7 A4 owner: Mod question

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
What's up, guys? I'm a new Audi A4 owner. I really like the look of having no badges on the back. Is there somewhere where I can have this done? I've seen some of the DIY threads but I'd rather have it be done by someone who's done it before.

I'm in Socal, Woodland Hills. Any suggestions would be great.

    Thanks.

I used to live in woodland hills..

Leave it out in the sun and floss it out, you could have a body shop do it but it's really not that big of a deal, I'm not sure but I Think the 4 rings are held in with pins. Really any body shop on Ventura blvd should be able to handle it.

Very easy to do with a blow dryer, fishing line or dental floss, WD 40 and some good wax. Any detailer can do it if you don't want to give it try.... Good Luck!

If you're talking about the back rings, then there are no pins holding it down.

To the op-go for it it is extremely easy. Just get a hairdryer, point it at the emblem you want to remove till it gets nice and hot, then take some floss and slide it behind the emblem. The emblem will pop right off. Then pick the residue off and use some goo gone or wd 40 to get the gooey stuff off. Then id wash the area well and wax it. It'll take like 10 minutes tops.

let the rear sit in the sun, get some thin fishing string or something similar and carefully work the letters off applying pressure toward you while moving the strings back and forth, after removed get some goo gone or adhesive remover safe for paint, then you can claybar, compound and wax or just compound.......

Re: New B7 A4 owner: Mod question

yep it really is super easy.... if u can get a blow dryer close to it heat it up as much as you can so once u pop off the badges u can peel away as much glue as possible.. and then use goo gone to clean up the rest

i didnt heat mine up that much.. and i left a lot of glue on thinking the goo gone would take care of it no problem.. but it had to end up sitting there for 30 minutes rubbing the glue with my fingers till i got it all off

all in all.. VERY easy.. just go outside and do it one day and then wash ur car when ur done and you will be pleased

I suggest fishing line because floss tends to break pretty easily and is a pain in the ass.

Nope the rings are held only by sticking double-sided tape, nothing else...
Used to think that too in the past...
