I was going to say I liked it but then the boost gauge made me want to punch babies, and I dont get why your trunk is yellow or is that just the pic? Either way props to you on all the hard work.

    Re: my (AS4) swap

To the OP's defense, that's actually home many race car drivers (particularly road racing) have their cars set up: the guages are turned so that all the indicating needles point either exactly vertical or horizontal (depending on driver prefference). When your racing things are happening very very quickly, so you only have a split second to check your guages from time to time. If they're all pointing in different directions, its really hard to quicky determine if everything is normal (i.e. water, oil, and cylc. temps.; oil & boost press.; etc.). Most drivers also turn their tachometers for the same reason, so that their shift points are exactly vertical (usually 12-o-clock).

edit: now whether or not he needs that for the street is another question. but it's his car, so who cares!

The updated mirrors look funky on the car. It kinda throws off the rest of it for some reason. Are the B8 mirrors? Cause I want to try and but B6 or B7 ones on my car.

When doing a 2.7 swap, the job will always be easier if you start off with a 2.8

They are 2007 S8 mirrors, they are almost identacal to the 2008 S5 mirrors but better. i spent $265 on aluminum welding,7 days and about 5 hrs doing mods to make it work.

grAh4m; b6,b7 and b8's are not a direct fit, but will def, be a good look, so good luck......

I don't know why everyone is being so harsh over one little part of the entire car. Great work I'm sure it took a lot of time. Must be a good feeling now haha.

well, all the sweeps start from the bottom left, so it would make more sense and be easier if it were mounted the right side up. that way they would all sweep the same way, NO?

    makes sense to me.

The boost gauge shows you your boost. b4 you race or track your car you need to set your boost, my boost gauge is positioned where i want it to be, NO?

my boost gauge might even be one of a kind, NO?

i like the boost gauge, its pretty creative, its not like you have to have the boost gauge right side up to read boost... its a cool spot to put it.

I think its pointless to try and fight with everyone man. You did ask for opinions, and everybody is going to have their own. Some of these may or may not be what you want to hear, but you just have to accept that. It's what an open-forum is all about...

nice job on the conversion though
