I run the stage 4 as well. it's stiffer than OEM, but nothing out of control. after a while you won't even notice it unless you're moving from one car to another. after driving my audi, i'll jump into my mk2 jetta and won't even be able to feel the clutch under my feet as I try to slam it through the floor.

    Re: southbend stage 4

Not all that much stiffer, you will notice it at first but a week later wont even notice it anymore. When I get into a car with a stage 4 it feels stock to me, but thats because my clutch in my car feels twice as stiff as a sb stage 4.

    Re: southbend stage 4

It will be insanely stiff at first. Unbearable...

    Give it 2 weeks.

Now I like it. Feels great, but it releases quickly...

    Re: southbend stage 4

Ya, I've got about 1500 miles on my stage 4. In the begining it was wicked stiff, I almost didn't like it. But now it is hard for me to drive a car with stock clutch, it feels like the clutch isn't pushing back at me.

Like everyone has said after 2 weeks you wont even notice that it is stiffer, untill you get in something with a stock clutch.

I just installed my stage 4 with a spec lw steel flywheel..

And the pedal feels stiff.. very stiff over stock!..
But looks like everyone is saying after two weeks it should go away?
I'm hoping... if not.. im going to pull that damn thing out!

    where does it actually grab?
    mine is halfway up!

not sure if its the pedal that gets softer or u just get used to it, but it gets very nice to drive....i was also hating it in the biggining....and mine was picking up right at the bottom

    Re: southbend stage 4

    oh ok...

mine right now , it only has 50 miles on it..
and it grabs halfway up, and it feels like an on/off switch.
I have to really be gentle with it until it starts to grab so i can accelerate... if not .. it just chews and wants to go...

damn.. i think i have aproblem with my clutch install!
