It will also sound like a lawnmower and will throw CEL. To each his own. Your car your money.
first off, i have the vast cel eliminators for each 02 sensor and i am at 5,000 cel free miles without the cats.
anyways, update:
i drop off the car today and within a few hours i get a call to come pick it up. i get there and the one picking up his car asks me, "Is that your car?", I respond, "yes". He begins to laugh and goes, Have you ever heard a big block chevy with open header?" I respond, yes. He laughs again and goes, "well your car is just as loud." The guys there at the shop just kept laughing and calling me nuts.
And literally it was. Head pounding loud. I drove about 5 miles and turned right back. It sounded incredible, definetely not like a lawnmower
It was just there was no way i could commute in this car everday without getting pulled over every couple of miles.
As for the little time i had it, I got to rip it a few times and really did not feel any loss in low end power but nothing really gained in the top. Felt about the same, just really loud.
So instead now, i had them put on my FI mufflers to the awe h-pipe non res. Still very loud, pretty close to the straights but something i could live with. i am not crazy about the tone of the h-pipe, sounds choppy. i am probably going to get an x-pipe put back in with some electronic dumps for when im feeling a little wild but that would probably be it. Ill get videos posted asap
