    SPA manifold. I would say it is good for any t3 turbo up to matye a GT35R. Anything past that, and one should be looking into full tubular manifolds.

    Well only thing past a 35r with a T3 flange would be a T3/67(aka 37r), at this point no one makes a T4 flange manifold but I am working on that.

    Most of the turbos I am looking at are T4 hot side. There aren't any T3 flanged turbos worth trying out on my car.

    He was in a hurry to get a manifold, he wanted to buy the full setup off my car but I wasn't ready to sell and there were no FR manifolds in stock at the time. From now on I will have 1-2 FR manifolds in stock at all times.

    LOL, that is way out of its map. The highest the GT35r can run within its map is 34psi on our cars, but the sweet spot is 32psi which is why nearly every person running a 35r is doing so at 32psi. Who do you know that is running 40psi on a GT35r?

    At sea level
    32psi = 3.17 PR
    40psi = 3.72 PR

    If your going to suggest running it at 40psi make sure you actually know what your talking about first.

    40 was a little bit of an exaggeration, but definietly higher than 32......

    Didn't 034 run 40 psi (ON A MUCH BIGGER MOTOR) @ that event last year?

    I have seen several gt35r and gt35r variants run boost approaching 40 psi.. So what the heck are you talking about? It might not be "efficient", but they still get some more power out of it.

    I thought they did but I seem to get 2 different stories from 2 different sources. One person says that it had a much larger turbo on the car pushing 40psi, another one said they saw a 35r under the hood while it was on the dyno for that event. So your guess is as good as mine.

    Here is a picture of their car on the dyno at that event, let me know if you can figure out if that is a 35r or not.

    More boost doesn't exactly mean more air flow if it means going from 74% effiency to 60-65%. Just like a K03 or K04 when pushed out of its map, you end up making more tq but really no agains in peak hp. That big jump in effiency on the 35r is going to have a huge effect on the IAT's.

    Re: Teaser...

    All I am saying is a LIGHT, FULLY BUILT RACE CAR like yours should be able to trap 140 MPH, with that turbo fully maxed out.

    P.S. Are you running raceware head studs?

    LOL, that is not a real GT35r. The HTA turbo uses the BW extended tip wheel, it can run up 44psi and still be in its flow map. Lets try sticking to a "real" Garrett GT35r which is what I have in my car. The funny thing is that at 32psi or less the HTA nearly exactly the same peak whp, not till both turbos are pushed to 40+psi(way out of the real GT35r map) do they see a gain while using that $1700 HTA 35r. My friend even runs a HTA 35r on his EVO and it puts down 480whp at 23psi on 100 octane and thats on a 2.3 liter not a 2.0.

    I can't remember or find @ exactly what boost this dyno was, but IIRC it was somewhere between 34-37 psi.

    Pretty sure he said 2.2-2.3 bar which is 32-34psi. That setup never even made it into a car. We already know my car is making more power then that.

    Nearly every Evo owner that I know of running a real GT35r is pushing 32psi. There was one from a shop in norcal that was running in the BOTI event and he was running nearly exactly the same ET I run.

    Thats Bob Q's superflow engine dyno, he was testing all kinds of products on that motor, hence its nickname the "dyno mule"...

    Dont need a anti-surge cover when running high boost, only when running very low boost.

    I know the difference, surging will cause an unstable boost reading while boost creep just keeps going up with the rpm. I have never had a surging issue running 25+psi.

    What were you expecting with a cast top mount manifold? There is just more material on the manifold which gets in the way.

    BTW when you get a chance put it on a scale.

    i am serious. its not as straightforward as you think. on the middle bottom runners, be sure to install the shorter studs cause the stock ones will hit. last time i installed this manifold it was with the rad support off and it was easy to reach in and get to all the nuts, but i had to take off the engine mount and reinstall it after tightening it all down.
